Privacy
This is a public reference site. There are no visitor accounts and no advertising trackers. Catalog pages are published knowledge, not personal data.
What we store if you write to us
- Submit a tip: the note, optional name, and optional email. These stay in a private review queue. They are not published on the site.
- Page feedback: the vote (helpful / not helpful / unclear / report error) and an optional comment, tied to the page — not to a login. Comments are not shown as a public thread.
- Email to tip@obd2pid.com: ordinary mail in the curator inbox, for the same purposes.
What we do not collect
- Vehicle trip logs or CSV uploads (the forms reject that use).
- Analytics cookies or third-party ad pixels.
- A public profile. Feedback “already sent” is remembered only in your browser.
Legal basis and retention
Tips and feedback are processed so the curator can maintain the catalog (legitimate interest / your request). Contact details are kept only as long as the review needs them, then deleted or anonymised. You may ask us to erase a submission that still contains your email.
